Task 5

For Task5, I have to visit an attractive place in Auckland and I am interested in gardens. I sent an email to Eden Garden.

Hi there,
My name is Adrian Lee,a Diploma of English student of Unite north shore campus.I am doing some research about the "activities in Auckland". And I'm interested in gardens. So could I make an appointment with someone for 15 minutes and I should record that as my homework as well.

Best regards.

Yours
Adrian

3.Are there any events hold here, like tea forums?

4.I heard that you said there are some volunteers working here,so how can people to be a volunteer here?

5.How old is the garden?

6.I found that there are a lot of names in the garden everywhere, are they the donators?

 Reflection
At a lovely spring afternoon,I visited Eden Garden for my task 5, it's quite convenient to spent an afternoon there.
I have been to Botanic Gardens,Winder Garden, Rose Garden, but Trash recommend me to go to Eden Garden which I haven't.It is spring at the moment, it must be a good time to have a afternoon at the same time.So I sent an email to the reception to ask for an interview but unfortunately, I didn't get any replay. So I decided to go there directly.I told the reception why I came and she agreed to have an interview even though she was not quite understanding
what I mean at first.

And also for this task,we had a new type of presentation which much different from we had before and we should have the presentation in a group to introduce your task and have a conversation to share experience and video it as well. I think it's muchbetter when you share your experience by talk to each others faceto face instead of video yourself in front of the camera. And you
will also find some questions you want to ask immediately during it.
When I watched the video again,I found myself was not very brave to speak out even though I knew what I wanted to say, also        including some grammar and pronunciation mistakes. But fortunately,it was not very difficult to catch the others and to enjoy the
conversation.
Over all,I think for this task I did much better than before.
Maybe the interview was not very successful because we both haven't prepare for that. Hope it OK next time!

  1. Hi Adrian, your interview wasn't too bad - this is a good example of 'your interview is only as good as your interviewee'! This lady didn't seem interested in answering much beyond giving the basic information, so it was pretty difficult to get anything more. I'm glad you enjoyed the garden though, and look forward to seeing your group presentation....
